Christian Ponder And Samantha Steele Got Married (via Deadspin)
This is clearly not my business, but man, that was fast. The Vikings QB and ESPN reporter tied the knot after about three months of dating and a two-week engagement.
When you know, you know?
Posters for the website Total Frat Move are speculating that they fast-tracked the courthouse wedding because A) Steele’s preggers or B) she wouldn’t sleep with him unless they were married.
Or, you know, maybe they just recognized that they make each other happy and didn’t feel like conforming to some socially acceptable timeline to make it official.
I mean, isn’t that really the only reason you should need?
(And for the record, if they are expecting, their kid is more than likely going to be unfairly adorable.)

#ThrowbackThursday Legend.
In my last post, I forgot to discuss updates on my teams!
TEXANS - Well, as a Houston Texan, the Cowboys fans have expressed joy in the fact that the Texans lost yesterday against the Patriots. Let me address this now:
-Tom Brady is an elite QB, and I am a fan, but there is NO way he should have had a field day against our secondary. The secondary was exposed in my opinion. Hey, it happens. JJ WATT is STILL a beast, and the Texans will prevail…I have faith!
-With the Texans being 11-2…guess what Cowboy fans…WE’RE STILL NUMBER 1! Yes, the Texans are still the No.1 team in the NFL.
-Last but not least, the Texans’ two losses were to the Packers and Patriots. Both of these teams have been in the Superbowl within the last two seasons. In my opinion, not bad losses, but definite exposures. I’m excusing the Texans’ poor playing.
K-State News!
It was historical to see students rushing the field after clinching the BigXII title! I loved it! Bill Snyder, and the senior class involved, deserve the title they worked so hard for. We are officially FIESTA BOWL BOUND! Time to go DUCK hunting!
As for Collin Klein and the Heisman, I believe if he didn’t win it, Te’O should have. Klein doesn’t need the Heisman to prove he is a great QB. I’m most impressed with Klein’s improvement over the years, and his poise. Johnny Manziel is a great QB, but I do not agree with his hype only coming after the Alabama game. Though, I am not surprised he won. He has great numbers, and sports politics is alive and well. Now, I just hope he can live up to this great award the next few years!
That’s all I have on my teams for today! I can’t quite focus on basketball until after the Super Bowl, sorry to all my hardcore basketball fans! I’ll get to that soon enough!

By creeper, I mean, finding info about a possible future employer.
Greetings All,
I like to think I’m the queen of this. So, here’s is my advice to all of the readers looking for an internship and/or job:
It’s an unwritten rule, and common sense, to study the company and the employer before speaking to them. Well, what about cold calls and emails? How do you find the right person? How do you contact them?
1. INTERNET - This wonderful invention has given us any answers we’ve ever needed, so use it! Key words seem to lead you in the right direction. Also, reading the fine print helps when looking on a company website.
2. LINKEDN - I love LinkedN. This website is growing daily with professionals. Usually, if I google any name on LinkedN, I find the person and learn all about what they do within their company! Very helpful.
3. CONNECTIONS - I’m a peoples person so I have a lot of friends, and friends with friends. Why not ask for help? It never hurts to ask someone who might know a person within that company to help you get your foot in the door.
So, my advice to you is, RESEARCH and be a bit of a creeper!
I’m actually in the creeping process right now while searching for a summer internship. I’ll post updates on how that’s going sometime in the future!

Greeting all!
This will be short post, as I only want to address the SEC championship, BigXII, and the Belcher tragedy.
Georgia vs. Bama….who do you have?
I would prefer to see Georgia in the championship vs ND. Why? Just a better game, in my opinion. The championship game has not been the main event of bowl season since Oregon vs Auburn, and I assume this year will be no different if Bama advances to the championship. Anyway, enjoy the game!
BigXII….will my Wildcats clinch the title?
Well, being that we’ve played mediocre the last few games, I will say we need to step it up in order to clinch that title win! Also, Collin Klein needs to sling the ball like his life depends on it if he wants to keep his ranking amongst QB’s, and a clear shot at the Heisman trophy December 8. We shall see!
Belcher (25) of the Kansas City Chiefs…very sad tragedy, and prayers go out to his family and the family of his girlfriend. We live in a crazy world.
Well, that’s all I have for today. Everyone enjoy their weekend!

Greetings!
It’s Friday, let us celebrate!!
I hope this post finds you all well. I know I haven’t been posting daily, but bare with me because finals are here! Now, let’s talk sports! In case I forgot to mention, I’m from HOUSTON, and when you’re from Houston, BULLS ON PARADE is a big deal! That being said, I’m a Houston Texans fan! Also, I’m a student at Kansas State University, which means, Every Man A Wildcat! I bleed purple, and so should you!
This weekend’s matchups are crucial for both my NFL and NCAAF teams. Why you ask?
NFL
-A win for the Texans vs Titans this Sunday will give them their second straight playoff appearance. Texans have won two of the last three meetings versus the Texans. A win would also mean 11 victories for the franchise for the first time in their history. Texans hold the AFC’s best record! Hopefully the Texans wont need another overtime to squeeze by.
NCAAF
-The K-State Wildcats are 10-1 so far and we have ONE more game to clinch the BigXII title and possibly the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Game in Arizona! Not only is that of importance, but Collin Klein is a Heisman Hopeful and to play big versus Texas tomorrow is crucial! This could determine a Heisman win (excluding the bowl game). Let’s hope for a big win and a great game from QB Collin Klein!
Well, that’s all I have for you guys today! Feel free to comment or like this post! Happy Friday!

Hi all!
Lately, I’ve been hearing the saying, “It’s who you know, not what you know,” and I disagree with this statement. As I’ve been trying to get my foot in the door of the sports industry, I’ve learned it’s first WHO you know, meaning:
When at a sporting event, or anywhere you might meet professionals in the sports industry, it’s smart to mingle with them and be personable at ALL times. Get to know them and find out what they do that could benefit your future. I know, it sounds sneaky and a bit selfish, but that’s exactly how it has to be when striving for what you want.
THEN it’s WHAT you know:
This means, after you mingle and make the professional comfortable with you through casual conversation and simple humor, talk SPORTS! It’s one thing you know you’ll have in common with them. So, show off what you know while including them into the conversation and learning from what they may know!
HOW DOES THIS BENEFIT YOU?: When following these steps, you show the sports professional that you are a.) a peoples person and b.) an expert. Now, throughout these two steps, it never fails that the professional becomes interested in what YOU do. So, tell him what you do and what you want to do. Then, ask if they could assist you! If they believe in your passion and knowledge, they’ll want to help you!
I hope that explains my title well enough. Do you guys agree? Let me know!
